Noah's Story
Age 5 - 9
-Left at the Shepard's of the Hill Orphanage by his sister, Alexandra, and into the care of Sister Antoinette and was downcast at first but started to adjust to life in the slums
-He and the sister were often harassed by local gangs, whom Noah hated despite Antoinette's teachings
-The hoodlums went too far one day and Noah lost his temper, violently injuring the two and almost killed one - but he was overwhelmed and almost killed but was rescued by Isaiah MacLeod and the Wild Vanguards
Age 9 - 15
-Noah admired his saviors and asked to join them as a Diver hoping to support the orphanage and elevate them out of the slums
-Isaiah agreed, and over the next five years the Vanguards, Faith Graves, Bradley Harper, Yvette Beaufort, Toby Fletcher, along with their technician and grounds keeper Maximilian Briggs, trained and taught him
-He was delegated as the team cartographer the first time he went into the Deep and kept to the back, but a sudden earthquake cast Noah deep into the dungeon
-Noah had found himself in a field of black flowers that cushioned and from there he resolved himself to make it out. He was not afraid as he crept through the dark, and was found by Isaiah and made out of the Deep. Only after was he told that he was missing for thirty two hours.
-Noah's popularity grew after word of his triumph and he too grew to become a more capable Diver, although not everyone approved of him
-Another Diver group, the Grand Halberds led by Gerard Faulkner, detested the praise the Vanguards were gaining, as Faulkner hated Isaiah, and set out to end their group
-Animosity between the two groups grew and one day the Vanguards were ambushed by an unknown attacker in the Deep. This led to the deaths of most of the Vanguards, only Isaiah, Noah and Faith survived however, Isaiah sacrificed himself and threw Noah and an injured Faith into the Deep - placing his bet on Noah's skill
-As he fell Noah saw the face of Faulkner as he executed Isaiah
-Noah found himself in the same field of black flowers again along with an unknown facility, and next to him was a dying Faith. He took his chances and discovered the facility to be an outpost from the old era equipped with a medical facility which he used to save Faith - though she remained comatose
-He discovered several weapons and other military goods, and an elevator leading to the upper mid-levels of the tower which he used to take revenge on the Halberds, most especially Faulkner
Age 15 - 17
-Gathering weapons, Noah took the elevator up which led to an abandoned factory site where he stumbled on an execution being carried out by a pair of Halberds
-He attacked and killed one and captured the other who was quick to give up the information he wanted - who were the ones involved in the attack on the Vanguards - before executing him
-The man Noah saved wanted to return the favor, who has connections to an infamous mob boss, Francis Reeves. Meeting Reeves, Noah made a proposition - working guns from the ancient period for a fee to which the mobster agreed
-Noah carried out his revenge after securing Faith, gathering information and studying his targets before killing them. He also discovered that the Halberds were dealing in human trafficking but he didn't care but still saved the victims
-His crimes became the center of attention and the Halberds were pushed into a corner and Noah took the opportunity to strike, swift and violent, and killed Faulkner
-He was arrested and met Madeleine McGregor, a guild official and old friend to Isaiah who listened to his story. After, she said her thanks and left. Noah's trial started a few days after where he was put before the guild and an Architect
-As the trial commenced and his crimes were listed and his guilt confirmed however, he was spared the execution sentence by the Architect who decreed for Noah to be spared. He was not imprisoned and his only punishment was a 5 year restriction on his Diver license
Age 17 - 19
-Despite the freedom, Noah was trapped by the effects of his crimes earning making it difficult to make a living as a Diver
-One day Madeleine visited him revealing the reason for his sentence which was because he ended the human trafficking and the location of the outpost, which swayed the guild along with the Architect's decree. She also delivered two vehicles - an airbike and truck from the outpost armory, and request for him to deliver the items in the truck to a hamlet outside the tower
-He did as asked and she was there at the hamlet to greet him, revealing that it was where she and Isaiah grew up and where he was buried. He spent a long while at Isaiah's grave an the next day, she said that the delivery it was just a ruse to bring him to Isaiah and that the cargo is his
-After, Noah was still unable to work as a solo Diver, until Max asked to borrow the truck which Noah allowed under the condition he tagged along.
-When the friend Max was helping paid Noah because he confused him for a courier, he was struck with the revelation that he could make a living from this so after discussing things with Max and filing the paperwork Lantern Light Deliveries was born.
-Aftwr starting his business, developing a good reputation and income, Noah developed the courier business by adding in a few more employees - all kids from the orphanage that were approaching adulthood that wanted to start being independent.
-Along with this, the opportunity to learn and experience more presented itself in the form of an offer from a ship captain Noah had befriended. He worked for a private businessman that had a well established trade with Elysium and Asgard. He'd be compensated well but would have to be away for two to three months each time they set off, which happened at least twice a year. Noah signed up.
Age 19 - 21
-Noah served on the airship, Saint Liberty, for two years - learning from the crew and captain about how to man an airship and about the industry itself, and brought home gifts for the orphange whenever he came home.
-Two years later, on a journey home from Asgard, the ship had the misfortune of being attacked by what he thought were pirates but turned out to be a group of rebels that were against the rule of the Architects.
-Noah participated in the counter offensive but to add to the misfortune, they were then attacked by a large fogmonster from the fogsea. In the heat of the chaos, Noah was ambushed by one rebel fighter and knocked out.
Personality
Noah is brave and selfless, always working to provide a better life for the children of the orphanage. He often keeps himself busy to hide the pain of his sister leaving him, but he also works to achieve his dream of leaving the slums. He also generally enjoys being of service and helping others, which makes courier work satisfying. He can be very materialistic in his wants and is always trying to bargain but he also knows when to spend his money, like gifts or books for the children.
Despite his empathy for others, Noah can be cold and vengeful – able to kill with no remorse but only when given due reason. A darker side to him created from his losses, pain, and sorrow.
